sundin puts dagger in toronto's hearts

They are saying how Sundin scored the game winning goal in the shootout and that after he had been playing in Toronto for 13 years, it was very emotional for him. When he got the puck on the ice he got booed a bit but as the game went on it started to turn into more cheering then booing. Sundin had a spectacular goal and he was no doubt voted for the first star of the game. Instead of getting loudly booed he was given a heartwarming standing ovation when he stepped on the ice. Even though he just scored the game winning goal against his former team he was still loved by all the fans. Sundin gave the crowed kisses goodbye and gave a final bow before exiting the ice to go to the dressing rooms.

CBC is saying that Sundin scored the game winning goal in a shootout to extend the canucks winning streak to 8 of 9 games. Sundin did what he usually does in a shootout. He goes in with speed then fakes the shot and goes to the backhand and roofs it top shelf! The building did a video tribute in the first period and then at the end of the game the fans game him a very long standing ovation when he came out as the first star of the game. He was very emotional coming back to toronto and he was loving every minute of it.

The CBC news is talking about how Sundin put like a dagger in the hearts of the toronto maple leafs. When Sundin scored on his former team in the shootout to win it for the canucks. The Toronto Maple leafs fans did not exit the building though, but waited to hear the 3 stars and who else was first star but Mats Sundin. CBC also talks about how Sundin was very emotional coming back to play in his old home and that how he was astonished at how he got such a standing ovation at the end of the game. This just shows you how well some players can be respected when they are loyal and nice to their fans and teammates.

Canucks Bump the slump

The canucks acquired Mats sundin a few weeks ago and so far he has been doing ok. Sundin has really picked it up in the last few days. His timing, vision and instincts have improved a lot. Sundin had a very strong game against the saint louis blues and he is starting to pile up a lot of points. He says that it helps a lot playing with guys like demitra and kesler. Alex Burrows also describes how the win against saint louis was huge for the whole team. He says that when the canucks were going through the huge slump that somehow they were still a very confident group and that working hard and staying focused will definitely soon pay off. It surely did against the saint louis blues. It was also a good win because it was the start of an 8- game stretch that will take them to 8 different cities. Luongo says that he is slowly getting back to his old form and self after he missed a lengthly amount of time with a devastating groin injury.

The media is talking about how burrows has been promoted to the top line and how the line of Sundin, Kesler, and Demitra have really started to show sings of life and chemistry. canucks analysts are saying that burrows is finally getting rewarded with his hard work and that is why he is now on the top line with the sedin twins. They also say how Sundin is looking sharper in the past few games and how they think that the second line really has a lot of chemistry and should produce a lot of points and goals for the team.

I think that the canucks have really been doing good the past few games also. The Sundin line has really picked it up and i think that they will continue to improve in the future going towards the playoffs. Kesler's hard work ethic and speed has really helped ignite a fire in Sundin as he now has 6 goals for the season and since he has been on the canucks. I believe that after that really long slump that the canucks are going to start to string a few wins together and get back on the right track. Sundin looks like he is getting hot, so all of the canuck fans out there get ready to see wins and amazing plays coming up from this hard working club.
