The air in hockey arena was full of electricity as the Canucks played what might of been their most important game of the entire season. Roberto luongo and Ryan Kesler lead the way to a 5-2 Canuck win. Roberto Luongo said that he thought that it was definitley like a playoff game. The whole team needed that game to get over the phoneix game and they definitley did that. It was the most physical game of the year and the canucks had a lot of emotion in it and the hits at times were brutal. THat game showed what the Vancouver team is really capable of. The sedins also took over the game as they both had a goal and a assist while daniel lost a tooth while taking a high stick and henrik got a high stick to the throught. The canucks overall had the most exciting game of the year.
Canuck reports says that Luongo kept the team in it after they had not a very good start and he was outstandingfor the rest of the game. They say that the Canucks power play was on a tear in that game and in result for that they scored 3 goals on it. The sedins also had a breakout game as they each netted a goals and a assist in the game. While doing so they both got high sticked and daniel lost a tooth becuase of it. After daniel got high sticked he came right back onto the ice and scored a goal. It takes a lot of grit to be able to do that. They say that hopefully they will be able to continue there good play into their game against Saint Louis.
I think that they canucks showed a lot of grit in the game tuesday night. I thought that Luongo, Sedin's and Kesler all had there best games in a long time. Kesler scored two goals in the game and also had a skate blade cut him in the back of his head while doing so. The Sedin's both took brutal high sticks which made Daniel lose his tooth and then on the next shift he scored a goal. That takes a lot of determination. THe canucks were great overall.

Canucks win 5th straight!
The Canucks beat the Minnesota Wild 4-2 on Tuesday night at GM Place. Only a couple hours after Burrow's signed a 4- year contract extension he exploded on the ice with two goals including a game winner. Also just before that game the Minnesota Wild goalie signed a 6 million- 4 year deal. He definitely did not show that he was worth that in tonights game. The 2nd, third and fourth line really helped the Canucks win tonight. Demitra had a nice goal and Sundin got another assist and so did Kesler, so maybe that line is going to start going on another groove. If they did, that would really help the Canucks in the long stretch and continuing into the playoffs. The Canucks dominated in the last 40 minutes and the "Burrows Story" has now become a reality.
CBC says that Burrows had just signed a four year contract extension and he is definitely showing that he is worth it. Burrows has come a long way since he was in the ECHL and now he is exceeding expectations in the NHL. The Canucks finally got some secondary scoring that they needed and if they keep that up they will definitely have a good chance of getting into the playoffs and going deep in the playoffs.
A player like Burrows can be so valuable to a hockey club. He brings energy and enthusiasm to every game and because he puts 150% into every shift, his energy rubs onto his teammates. His energy not only affects him in a good way; it affects everyone in a good way. Burrows has been a solid contribution to the Canucks this year and i definitely do not think that they would be in the position they are in now if he was not on the team. He is a great team player and energy booster.
I think that CBC is talking about how Burrows has signed that huge deal with the canucks. That is very good because we need to secure a good grit guy like that and he also has a lot of talent. He has showed his true skill in the past couple of games and I think that Vancouver fans will love to have "Alexandre The Great" still around. The wild gave up a two goal lead after they got it with only using 3 minutes of the first period. The wild are usually very good at protecting the lead but the Canucks kept preserving and fought back to win.

sundin puts dagger in toronto's hearts
They are saying how Sundin scored the game winning goal in the shootout and that after he had been playing in Toronto for 13 years, it was very emotional for him. When he got the puck on the ice he got booed a bit but as the game went on it started to turn into more cheering then booing. Sundin had a spectacular goal and he was no doubt voted for the first star of the game. Instead of getting loudly booed he was given a heartwarming standing ovation when he stepped on the ice. Even though he just scored the game winning goal against his former team he was still loved by all the fans. Sundin gave the crowed kisses goodbye and gave a final bow before exiting the ice to go to the dressing rooms.
CBC is saying that Sundin scored the game winning goal in a shootout to extend the canucks winning streak to 8 of 9 games. Sundin did what he usually does in a shootout. He goes in with speed then fakes the shot and goes to the backhand and roofs it top shelf! The building did a video tribute in the first period and then at the end of the game the fans game him a very long standing ovation when he came out as the first star of the game. He was very emotional coming back to toronto and he was loving every minute of it.
The CBC news is talking about how Sundin put like a dagger in the hearts of the toronto maple leafs. When Sundin scored on his former team in the shootout to win it for the canucks. The Toronto Maple leafs fans did not exit the building though, but waited to hear the 3 stars and who else was first star but Mats Sundin. CBC also talks about how Sundin was very emotional coming back to play in his old home and that how he was astonished at how he got such a standing ovation at the end of the game. This just shows you how well some players can be respected when they are loyal and nice to their fans and teammates.

Canucks Bump the slump
The canucks acquired Mats sundin a few weeks ago and so far he has been doing ok. Sundin has really picked it up in the last few days. His timing, vision and instincts have improved a lot. Sundin had a very strong game against the saint louis blues and he is starting to pile up a lot of points. He says that it helps a lot playing with guys like demitra and kesler. Alex Burrows also describes how the win against saint louis was huge for the whole team. He says that when the canucks were going through the huge slump that somehow they were still a very confident group and that working hard and staying focused will definitely soon pay off. It surely did against the saint louis blues. It was also a good win because it was the start of an 8- game stretch that will take them to 8 different cities. Luongo says that he is slowly getting back to his old form and self after he missed a lengthly amount of time with a devastating groin injury.
The media is talking about how burrows has been promoted to the top line and how the line of Sundin, Kesler, and Demitra have really started to show sings of life and chemistry. canucks analysts are saying that burrows is finally getting rewarded with his hard work and that is why he is now on the top line with the sedin twins. They also say how Sundin is looking sharper in the past few games and how they think that the second line really has a lot of chemistry and should produce a lot of points and goals for the team.
I think that the canucks have really been doing good the past few games also. The Sundin line has really picked it up and i think that they will continue to improve in the future going towards the playoffs. Kesler's hard work ethic and speed has really helped ignite a fire in Sundin as he now has 6 goals for the season and since he has been on the canucks. I believe that after that really long slump that the canucks are going to start to string a few wins together and get back on the right track. Sundin looks like he is getting hot, so all of the canuck fans out there get ready to see wins and amazing plays coming up from this hard working club.
